Not a Sour aftertaste at all

I just got done reading Cate's chapbook The Sour Aftertaste of Olive Lemon and I have to say I believe it is the best thing I have ever read by Cate. I am having a hard time figuring out how best to review it without giving the ending away and do the book justice at the same time.

In a small town with set rules that seem just for Olive Lemon she goes forth to break them and find out the reality of it all.

I think that is the best I can do. If you haven't ordered it yet I urge you to do so at Bucket O'Guts Press.

Cate- It is no mean feat to outdo yourself, but you rose above the occasion here. Congratulations. I still want to know how your brain is wired. :)

Mary- You won't be disappointed.

I devoured my copy last night and was hungry for more. Cate really scored a direct hit with this one.

I just finished reading it too and it's, well, awesome. She really is mistress of the surreal.

Katey- enjoy!

Mary- Hope you get it soon.

Jameson- I was actually hoping there would be more as well, Not disappointed with what I got though.

K.C.- It was like an acid trip without all the bad side effects.

I did the same thing here...I wanted to talk about it, but the compulsion is to just keep everything about that place a secret, because it really has ...well, crap, I don't even want to say what it has. I'll just say "unfortunate goatee" and leave it at that.

Jeremy- You said it as well as I could have. :)

While I haven't read it myself, I am sure it is terrific. Also, Cate's title "The Sour Aftertaste of Olive Lemon," gets my vote as the Best Title EVAR!!

Carrie- If you wait by the mailbox and tap your foot it will come sooner.

Christopher- That title is right up there, and you should order a copy. it is only 6 bucks shipped.
