Monday went well

At least the sun is shining here today. We are supposed to get another inch of rain tonight, but for now the sun is shining.

Yesterday I started in on the editing, major editing, of my novella which I am now calling 'Behind These Walls.' In my usual style, I am doing more adding to than taking away. At the rate I am going this could take me awhile. It probably didn't help that I stopped to play a couple of round of Wii bowling with my daughter (she kicked my butt every time and she has terrible form. I got her back when we played tennis.)

I also started a flash piece for Shroud's newest contest. Unfortunately, the story is due Friday so I have to get cracking (those of you that know what the contest is will get the joke there). I think I have a good story line going for it, I just need to get my ending into it.

I doubt if I get a lot done today, my children and I are going on a roadtrip to my Mothers place so I can fix some things around her house and so the kids can visit their grandma. I had better get going. It takes two hours to get there.

Have fun on the roadtrip! And I hope you don't get too rained out.

I am jealous, I seem to be doing no writing at all.

Ying is the same way! Hilarious at bowling, amazing at tennis. I kick his ass at duck hunt. Hard.

i'm convinced bowling is just luck. i mean i swear i throw that stupid ball the same time every time, and sometimes its a strike and sometimes it's not. wii tennis, on the other hand, takes real skill. i mean not actual like tennis skill, but skill nonetheless. i kick ass at tennis.

Enjoy the roadtrip. Glad Wii bowling provided a quality distraction.

I threw my back out playing that *#$*% Wii bowling.

Getting a lot of rain here at the moment. Just as well I made the boy clean the gutters out a few weeks ago.

Good luck with the edits.

I loved Wii bowling. It took me days to figure out how I bowled and what mark on the lane I needed to aim at, but it's boring now when you pretty much get high scores all the time. It's one of those problems with being someone who needs to figure everything out.

I did the same with the golf.

I don't play Wii anymore :c(

K.C.- had a good trip, no rain.

Cate- No writing today here either.:(

Nat- I don't have duck hunt, yet.

Samantha- I think the same thing with bowling, at least the way I play.

Aaron- good roadtrip. Didn't get to take the backroads I wanted to, but maybe some other time.

Jameson- My daughter complained she threw her arm out.

BT- cleaning gutters stinks, good job for a teenager. I don't play as many video games as I used to.

I love the new title.

Danielle- I actually forced myself to come up with a new title before doing anything else. Glad you like it.

My kids bowls like a chicken on steroids (not sure what that would look like, but it sounds sufficiently wild), and he beats me every time too.

Carrie, actually the chicken image works. She does tend to flap both of her arms and jump around a little but doesn't get lift.
