Sorry, been busy

I have actually been busy lately. I have been putting up trim in the house, helping the wife scrape paint :P, bottling beer, doing a very few edits, playing with the children, going to the zoo, going to an art museum to see original Little Golden Book art (very cool), cleaning house, and living my life. See, I have had very little time to blog about it. I have been able to keep up on everyone else while I do all of this.

Today, I have more things to do around the house. Some trim I stained last night needs to be lacquered and after that I have a ceiling to sand so I can texture and paint that room. After that I might try to get to a little bit of editing. Either that or I might try to edit first and then try to get some work done around the house. I think that might work. Needless to say, I will not be starting any new stories until this housework is done. I hope it doesn't take very long. I am starting to miss the writing to be honest about it. As you read this and I put it down the action of the typing is almost hypnotic and lulling me into a short story.

Have a good Monday. I will try to be better about posts this week. I don't have anything else to do.

Update: Because Carrie asked and I had almost forgotten about it, My back is much better. After repeated trips to the chiropractor we managed to keep my hips from popping out of place and allowing me to walk again. I still don't know what I did to get that way.

Uh. Paint.

We're working on our trim this summer. Thank God the rest of the house is brick.

Cheers.

Don't worry, you've not been the only one. Though lucky for you it sounds like you've at least done some writing... tomorrow! i will write beautiful things on my off day tomorrow! this is a pledge i make here on jamie's site!

so you know, it's sort of like signing your name in blood. binding is the word.

keep living the summer jamie :^)

Aaron- It wouldn't be that bad if the paint didn't peel off every couple of years.

Samantha- We are going to hold you to this writing pledge. :)

Regarding the hip: Maybe you were stress sleeping? Also, check your couch/writing chair, etc. Over time, the foam inside can shift and become lopsided, WHen that happens, one side of your body has to work more to keep you balanced. That's how I muck up my posture : P

You don't know what you did to pop your hips out of place - try rereading your blog superman, I'm knackered just looking at it.

You seem so...well-rounded. The art museum thing and the zoo seem especially cool. I'm just glad I don't have to scrape any paint. :)

I'm glad to hear your back is doing better. Mine has been off and on. Next week a coworker is on vacation, so my work load will increase. I fully expect my back to protest.

Heh. If I keep asking random questions, will you keep answering them? Because you know I will...

Nat- I probably picked something (someone) up incorrectly and wretched the whole thing.

Cate- I pace myself, really I do.

K.C.- The Golden book art was very cool. Omaha actually has a very nice museum.

Danielle- me too.

Jameson- I hope it doesn't protest too much.

Carrie- Ask away. I might not answer all of them, but you can ask anything you want.
