End of November

Well, it is the end of November. I have little hope that I will actually get any more responses this month (although it could happen) so I will start this post with my stats.

Accepted stories: 1 to 52 Stitches called 'The Problem With Gnomes' I like this little story and I can't wait to see the rest of the line-up.

Rejected stories: 2. both of which have gone on to find where they properly belong. (I hope)

Stories written: 0. None. Nada. Zip. Zilch. I couldn't even finish my nano book, although I do have a damn good start on it. I am also working on a short story that I have yet to complete. We will tack onto this stat that I still managed to write 43,000 words, just not all in one story. I can't complain. It was probably my last year to attempt NaNo. It was fun. Everyone should do it. At least once.

Published: 1. 'The Passenger' has been published, and beautifully I might add, in Midnight Echo. Link at the right because I am lazy today.

In other news I am a picture of health. Thanks to everyone for the well wishes. I went to the doctor today (3rd time this month) and after running a battery of tests usually reserved for men almost 2X my age, they have declared me to be in good health. While they could come up with no concrete reason why I have problems breathing sometimes lately I am happy to say that my heart is in good shape, especially. I am also in good shape, although after running the stress test I have found out I would have to do a lot of conditioning to get in shape for the Olympics. I guess that ship has sailed because I am not interested in doing that much work. I will stick to writing.

That is good because I have some stories I need to get back to work on. December is upon us. Hope you all had a good November.

I'm really glad you're healthy! When I'm thoroughly stressed, I sometimes have trouble breathing, especially if the air is dry. Maybe you're just too stressed out? They gave you the wrong stress test. :)

I love the title for your 52 Stitches story! Congrats on the sale! Sounds like your month was pretty darn good.

Huzzah for your good health, huzzah for your acceptances and huzzah for your NaNo story.

K.C.- If I wasn't so laid back all the time. Maybe my body doesn't know what stress is, or maybe it is my mind that doesn't know and my body compensating. I don't know.

Danielle- I'm still pissed that I didn't finish it, but really I'm not out anything but time and I can still finish it, just not in November.

I have yet to write a gnome story, which is curious/ironic since I am such an avid gardener.

Kudos and congrats to you. :-)

Happy to hear all is well in the heart department. I'm done for the Olympics, too. But I watch. That's kind of fun. ;)

I've taken a different route and have now become an expert armchair judge for the Olympics!

Excellent work on getting so many words out in November.

If it makes you feel better, I got zero written, less than half my normal blogging done, 1 acceptance to the same place you did, and 3 rejections - no where near the same productivity as you - don't be so harsh on yourself.

Huzzah on your heart! : )

As for breathing, perhaps you've been drinking too much caffeine? That can make everything tight. So can heartburn, which doesn't always come with more obvious symptoms.

Good news. I get knackered just watching the Olympics. Though if there was an event for rolling your chair between the laptop and the pc, I'd win a gold medal.

Yay for healthy!

You know, I've never been able to get people who run. My husband does it and I think he's out of his mind. So I really doubt we're missing out on anything (being already out of our minds to do what we do.)

Rebecca- you should try it. It was fun, refreshing even. Much more so than actually gardening. :)

Aaron- bring on the gymnasts and the weight lifters, that is fun to watch. At least for me.

BT- but I didn't read story after story for an antho. That is work. Hard work.

Nat-Too much coffee? Never! My wife thinks it might be something like an adult onset asthma. I don't know.

Cate- I might give you some good competition. Then again, I might give up and let you win.

Katey- I am a bike rider myself. I don't understand running either. I can't get far enough to make it worth my time.
