bust

yesterday was a bust. Creatively anyway. I couldn't get any writing done with two kids at home and a driveway that needed to be scooped out, by hand no less because the breakaway bolts on my snow-thrower broke away. Go figure. Had to go out before the sun got up this morning at -11 degrees F. and scoop more snow that the winds kicked up last night. At least that wasn't the whole driveway but it still took me over an hour.

I am hoping today will be better. I think I can get a first draft of my Dead Bait story done and if I don't it will be close enough to finish tomorrow. I should be able to send it off by Friday. I think.

Thankfully we're snow free, and if I had to remove it by hand then it wouldn't get moved.

Good luck with Dead Bait, I'm working on my story.

We're supposed to be getting down to 10 below today too. Should be fun. At least there's no snow on the ground worth mentioning. Godo luck with the story.

Cate- even with a broken snow-thrower my wife still had to get to work and 4 wheel drive only gets you so far.

Rob- It wasn't bad until it drifted last night. all of a sudden three inches becomes 42 inch piles, right behind the garage doors.

Snow is beautiful when you don't have to move it. Hope today is a good writing day.

Good luck with your story. I am so very, very glad it hardly ever snows here, and when it does everyone freaks out and just stays home. I'd never shoveled snow until I moved up to Pennsylvania for two years. *shudders*

Sorry about the shoveling. Hope your wife made you something special for all the effort!

You live in a beautiful part of the world - or at least it seems so from the photos. We simply don't get snow here - it's never cold enough.

I'm guessing if I had to shovel snow though, I wouldn't be thinking it looked so nice.

Shoveling snow isn't too bad. It is the size of my driveway that is the killer. That and we tend to get snow a lot.

B.T. - that picture was taken from my library window. I just finished the porch columns a couple of months ago. I wish I owned the land across the road from me. I could use a barn.

Ooo...that pains. I don't like negative numbers.

Good luck on Dead Bait.
