I have a new story today at 52 Stitches called Nine. If you haven't already, check it out, if you have Thank you.
I managed to get no writing done yesterday, today is looking no better. There is good news to come from this, however. My house is almost done. It has been years in the making and I managed to get a good chunk of trim up around the windows and doors yesterday and install a stairwell, properly this time. Today will involve the staining and finishing of more trim and if I feel ambitious I will take on my plumbing once again. I don't think I will feel that ambitious.
For now I am sitting here waiting for the boy to wake, and while it is time I could be using to write I need to re-format a story to send to another market after I got a very nice rejection letter from Shimmer yesterday. I also need to look at a story for a friend, but I want to be able to give it my full attention.

The only thing I am succeeding in this weekend is rejections. :) I figure we need the break.
Cate, it is just a calm before the flurry of acceptances that will grace our accounts in the coming months. ;)
Great story. Cats can really creep me out at times.
I look forward to reading it : )
Jamie - you need to fix the link. You have an extra http in there.

I love cats but they have to kept in their place. I had a flat mate once who had a cat he allowed to wander over the breakfast bar when ever it wanted. Nothing worse than see cat fur where you want to make a sandwich. I kicked him and his cat out. I visited him sometime later at his new place and he had two cats, and I'm pretty sure he would have blown the fur from the glasses - disgusting.
So I guess all this rambling is to say well done on the story, it struck a cord of recognition of something really disgusting - which is a good thing.
I love the story! I totally didn't expect the ending, and I loved the details of cat hairs fur all over everything. I have two cats and yeah, the fur does go everywhere.
...here kitty, kitty, kitty...
Do you really have eleven?
(I love this story, but you already knew that)
Yep, all farm cats, none are allowed in the house. (I don't know how many are going to have kittens this spring) Anyone want a pet?
I hate cats and the fur thing kept freaking me out but it was a great story, I loved it.
I read you story and thought the old guy was just as creepy as the cats!
I really enjoyed the story and left a comment at 52 Stitches. Great job!
