I finally finished the edits on my Middle grade book, "Big Chief's Gold" yesterday. At least what I had written. I have completely re-written this thing twice now, this is actually the 3rd time, changing the tense and the POV each time. I think I have it right now. I just need to finish writing it. I am almost up to the climax and in this new POV it should be easier to do. The last POV I wrote it in stuck me at page 76. At least I know the story, inside and out by now.
I have been toying with some short story ideas and I think I have an entry for the Vermin Antho. I am still trying to come up with an idea for the Oz book. I think that one will take a little bit of time to do.
Anyway, I have a ton of stuff to do so I will now be going. Have a great Wednesday.

Best of luck finishing the book. I'm glad you feel it is right, now.
Nothing like starting with a blank screen 3 times now for the same story. Luckily, I feel I have become a much better since I wrote the first draft over a year ago. If not better at least more confident.
I know how you feel. I rewrote GUARDING THE HEALER, changing it from first person to third, and it was tough.
Three times makes me weary just thinking of it. But in the end you'll know that you gave it all you had, and that's what'll make it a great read.
I adore MG books, good luck with it, Jamie.
I tremble to think what will happen when I go back to shorts after "Bucky's Luck." I'm hoping it will be like that bicycle analogy!
Gabe- It has gotten easier as it has gone on. Little things to change mostly. Still. . .
Cate- I hope agents/publishers like it.
Nat- Just like riding a bike, exactly. One word at a time.
Wow, changing that much three times is pretty amazing. Good luck with it!
You can have my Hungry Tiger idea for the Oz anthology if you like. I've decided not to write it.
K.C.- I really have just been searching for the proper voice. This one seems the most authentic for the story. I think it will be worthwhile by the time I am done.
Congrats on getting this far - three times - now finish the damn story ;c)
