I have to say I am making progress. It is slow but there. I am going through suggestions and ideas from one of my beta readers (I can't believe I made that many mistakes after going through it so many times) and as you will see below, I have a pond growing in my backyard. Okay, so it isn't in my backyard, literally, but you can get there from here.
And that picture is taken from the deck on my house just to let you know how close things are. You couldn't see it until this afternoon, when they took out all the trees that ran parallel to our fence.

Looks like a gorgeous place to live.
Wow, I'd love to have that much space between me and the neighbors.
Stately : )
I am going to miss the trees they took out. *sigh* because I really don't need to see the neighbors house up on the other hill, or his barn.
Sorry, but that hill looks familiar. I thought that maybe I had made it up, but maybe not.
I'd keep an eye out for Chickenhead if I were you.
Somedays, I'd "kill" for space like that. Please don't take any of what I say literally.
Please.
Tell me you're using a telescopic lens... What a view. Though even with a telescopic lens I'd hit a brick wall, and with x-ray specs I'd hit countless brick walls.
Oh, and stop beating yourself up about your manuscript. Our blindness is why we have beta readers.
Right now, you could probably go fishing for guppies.
Jeremy- I have large guns and lots of ammo, just in case.
Aaron- I know what your saying. you should see the timber preserve on the other side of the road. There is a good bass pond on it.
Cate- no telescope needed. That is what it looks like. (the propane tank in the lower left hand corner is only 15 feet from the house, to give you a reference.)
Carrie- the frogs have already found it. You can see them scatter when they start the dozers up.
What a gorgeous view; can't wait to see how it looks when it's all done. Almost makes me want to move back out to the country, where I was born and bred!
Can you put up some trees of your own? Or would it be too expensive to get big ones?
Wow, that's going to be pretty big, looks like!
And I just realized you sent me your manuscript and I forgot about it, what with DragonCon and all. Eep! Expect an email sometime this weekend (and hopefully I'm not too late--go slower on those revisions, okay?).
Katey- me too. I would have a hard time moving back into a city at this point, although moving closer to a city would be an option.
Nat- we are looking into that option.
K.C.- Take your time. I am. Nothing has been changed in my wp program. all on paper at this point. (I can compare notes easier)
