So it is October 12, 2009 and it is snowing for the second time in 3 days. The first time was actually a new record in our area. It had never snowed that much that early in recorded history. Now it is snowing again and that just seems cruel. It makes me want to rip an icicle from my roof and beat Al Gore with it.
Today I don't know if I will work on any new stories or not. I might just work on edits and re-writes from at least 2 different stories and maybe a 3rd. I have been wracking my brain trying to come up with something for 52 stitches but I am at a loss. I haven't been able to write a flash piece for quite some time now. I think I broke that part of my brain and I can't fix it with super-glue. I tried, but now my fingers are stuck together and for some reason my leg twitches all the time.
Happy Monday!

Snowing?!? Man, that's harsh.
You could write a flash piece about snow in August, a talking fish, and a narcoleptic clown.
I don't know that you'd want to, but you COULD. ;)
Carrie- I have been snowed on in June, but I was in Idaho at the time. Narcoleptic clowns. . .you might be onto something.
It's just raining here, but it's chilly way beyond what October should be. I hope your snow stops soon and you get a great idea for a flash story.
K.C- I would take rain, even cold rain.
Man. Winter just can't wait, can she? Hope story ideas start falling like the...um, snow.
I think Carrie has set you a challenge that you can't ignore... Oh and an idea for 52 Stitches is eluding me too.
Aaron- Coldest year I remember and I have fond memories of the ice storm of Halloween '91.
Cate- yeah, I'm screwed.
I'm stumped on 52 Stitches, too. We should form a support group.
I love the snow. I miss actual weather. While you're raging in snowbound misery, I'm secretly jealous of you.
Well...it's not a secret anymore.

Snow? Haven't seen it since I was two - and yes, that was a very long time ago...
If you're stuck for stitches ideas, time to google images or fliker or whatever.
What about possessed snowmen or snowangels in the fresh dusting created by playful spirits who turn vengeful? Hmm, that last one may not be a flash piece - feel free to turn it into a short - What can I say? I like the way you have with ghost stories.
I'll leave now - good luck.
so that's why we were out of superglue! You said you fixed toys.
Mercedes- What we wouldn't give for a really mild winter around here.
Nat- that was what we were all saying around here on Saturday.
BT- I might have broken the flash dam today, we will see tomorrow if it continues.
Ann- Super-glue, it's not just for breakfast anymore.
Here's hoping fingers become unstuck and the twitch goes away - although maybe you could work that into a story. I've hit a snag with my piece, so I put it aside.
Leg twitches are a sign of creativity!
Danielle- I thought I had repaired the synapse in my brain that can actually do short-short fiction, but it broke after one story.
Alexis- If I poke my brain here I can do all sorts of neat tricks.
