Monday :P

This weekend was good. I guess. I managed to finish my rough outline of my next YA book (I hope I can still call it that. I have to read Crank to see how that author handled some very sensitive subjects). Now I am working on sketching out my characters. In the meantime I want to start outlining my NaNo book (Or maybe it is the other way around and I have outlined that and am going to outline something else completely) I don't know.

I can't believe that the month will be over by the end of the week and the only things I have gotten done are outlines, query letters and edits. No new stories at all. Sadly, I am not planning on starting any anytime soon.

But you're working, Jamie. You're working on writing.

You're working hard, and its needed to polish/promote your stories. Hang in there!

I hate the prep work, but I hate myself even more when I skip it. Hope yours is relatively painless.

Why are you pulling tongues at Monday? Or is it aimed at Tuesday.;) Sorry chocolate deprivation at this end.

You're working towards your ultimate goal and that's all that matters.

Nat- I need to revise my definition of 'working hard.'

Carrie- I have a heck of a time working on longer stories without some sort of outline. I wander around too much and eventually lose the story.

Cate- we have a full shelf of chocolate and other sweets that I am depriving myself of as we speak. Come on over and we can try to eat our way out of any writers block we may be having. :)

This month has sped by at a crazy pace. I didn't get half as much done as I wanted either.

I'm about to begin outlining my NaNo novel too. It's a kind of scary thought as I only have a beginning and am throwing my characters into a pickle of situation with no way out.
