I honor to commemorate this first snow of the season I am getting my truck worked on and making sure my snowthrower runs. I think I need to change the oil and put a new sparkplug in it. I should also get new gas for it. In the meantime, I might try to get some edits and re-writing done, although it isn't looking good for such frivolity. Is it just me, or does it seem like only a couple of days ago you were talking about clearing last year's snow so your wife could get to work???
We are semi-lucky and just have our usual rain.
Cate- it sure feels that way. This year has gone far too fast. Good times I guess.
Beautiful snow, unlike our awful "city snow" that just turns to brown mush immediately.
I hated the way snow looked after the plows had been through when I lived in town. Nothing is less cheery than dirty snow.
We got our first snow here in Maine yesterday. Yay, yuletide whiteness.
Come March I'll be cursing the stuff.
I still don't miss snow. I miss autumn and the smells and all of that, but I could live a hundred years without shoveling snow again.
We even had snow here in northern VA-- it stuck for a whole hour almost! Mmm snow, that's a pretty picture.

how come the picture of our backyard is always a view of the NEIGHBORS pond?
Because if I panned to the right the trees get in the way. I could have taken it from the library window and gotten a beautiful view of my truck. Really, I was just being lazy and didn't want to go outside and risk a full-blown cat invasion.

Katey- that is my type of snow, the only an hour kind.
Nat- I don't think we have those around here. Snow hares or tea parties.
What a gorgeous photo. It makes me wish it was winter here. Damn awful heat.
