Thursday post

Not a lot of writing going on here. I have been feverishly working in my yard trying to get it ready to use. It should be a beautiful patio when we get it done. I think today I will put together an Adirondack chair and handle a shove a little more before I attempt to mow the second half of the yard. I would only have the mowing to do if we hadn't had to get a new well this winter.

Anyway, all of this is cutting into any creative time I may (or may not) have had so writing has been at a minimum. I have been jotting ideas in a journal, trying desperately to remember the really good idea I had the other day while driving home from Omaha but I think I have a couple of other ideas I can flesh out. Horror has taken a back seat and more literary works have come into play. I don't know how my mind works or if it does (my wife would argue for the latter) but I am getting ideas and that makes me a happy writer. I hate it when I have nothing to write about. Kind of like this post. :)

Hope everyone has a productive Thursday and thanks to every one for reading my flash piece up on 52 Stitches. I am glad you enjoyed it.

Just imagine all the writing you'll do on that patio . . . *sigh*

If you want to drive down to Lawrence and do some work around my place, feel free. Think of all that think time while you drive...

Rebecca, I doubt it. Probably too sunny. I am thinking of all the beer and lemonade I will enjoy on it though.

Aaron, I work for beer and steak. :) and I wonder why my Doc has me on meds for cholesterol.

It unnerves me when Horror takes the back seat. It always leaves a funky smell back there and those stains never come out.

When all the work is done, you have to post photos.

Ooh, my mom has two adirondack chairs my uncle made her, and they look so nice in the yard! They're very comfortable to sit in and sip iced tea, too. Just keep that in mind while you're working; it's worth it. :)

Doing tasks like that always stirs up new creations for me. Sounds good! And yeah, love to see the patio when you're done. Sounds rad!

Barry, I have one heck of a steam cleaner.

Cate, that is a good idea. They should be up in the next 3 years.

K.C., with my last job I used to be able to make 5 a day from scratch. They are comfortable to sit in.

Katey, I am happy with the way it is going, but it is so much stinking work to get it there. I would rather be doing anything else.

The warmer weather edged me out of horror and into erotic fiction. At least now I can ignore all the sunshine, instead of be thwarted by it.

Yard work can be very good for horror, of course. All the grubs, bugs, and sweating. Hmm...maybe that last one is better for erotica. Oh hell, why can't it be both!
