can't think of a title

Actually, the title of this post is two-fold. I couldn't think of anything clever to say about this post (because it isn't going to be much of a post, more like an update) and I still don't have a working title for the book I am working on. I did manage to knock out Chapter 13 yesterday and start 14 so we are chugging along. I also managed to fix a chair, repair and clean my wife's car and look at the basement steps I was supposed to replace. Hopefully today is productive on the writing front. If my dog and boy will cooperate.

Titles are hard. Drop a few more hints as to what its all about and maybe your blog readers can assist?

Thriller based on the premise that a hitman has hidden his trophies (bones) in the walls of his house. When the house is put up for sale at a sheriff sale the new owners are put in peril when he gets out.
(It is more in depth than that but you get the idea)

Thanks for any input.

If you tie the boy to the dog, that would help ; )

The boy is much larger than the dog so it would have to be the other way around.

Jamie, have you written a hook statement for your book yet? Have you written the paragraph you envisage on the back dust cover yet?

If not, try writing those out. As you condense your premise you can start to play with different ways of stating the theme. Chances are, a word or phrase will make itself known that encapsulates that theme, premise and plot - that's your title.

BT- I have thought of that, but I would like to see exactly what my characters are going to do before I get that far. As long as I can still find the file on my flash drive I am in good shape.

I'm bad at titles. I have an entire finished (although trunked) novel saved as "Cinderstory" because the main character's name is Cinder and I never could think of a title.

The Bone House? It sounds very cool, anyway, whatever you end up as for the title.

Chugging along very well. And I love the idea of a hitman hiding is trophies in the walls of his house.

I also have been thinking of 'within these walls' but I like 'the bone house'.

Danielle- I have torn into a lot of houses and the idea has cropped up many times. Especially when digging in old basements.

The Bone House is rather chilling.
